Make life saving, harm reduction supplies more accessible with vending

Easy 24/7 access to life-saving harm reduction supplies

People who use drugs deserve the same access to life saving supplies as everyone else. Harm reduction vending machines are an innovative way to help postsecondary institutions, public health agencies, and community-based or non-profit organizations provide greater accessibility to safer-use supplies to ensure individuals remain safe and healthy while using drugs and having sex.

Our harm reduction vending machines enable convenient, secure 24/7 access to supplies for safer drug use, overdose reversal, and infectious disease prevention, such as nasal spray, overdose reversal medications,  safer sex kits, and other harm reduction supplies.

Real customers. Real results.

Community-based / non-profit organizations, postsecondary institutions, and state and local public health agencies across the United States and Canada are utilizing our solution to help combat the drug overdose epidemic by providing overdose reversal medication, along with many other harm reduction and safer use supplies.

AIDS Care Ocean State is Rhode Island’s largest AIDS service agency and provides a wide range of programs, including clinical, housing, and prevention support. ACOS has been successful in dispensing and tracking sterile syringes, needles, overdose prevention supplies, and safe sex kits through their IDS equipment. These items are now easier to distribute and are more accessible to their clients. See how AIDS Care Ocean State utilizes vending to provide easy access to harm reduction supplies.

“Someone was over-dosing, and we had a vending machine out there, so I quickly gave him a code, and he was able to access the machine and get the required overdose reversal strips." Ray Joseph, AIDS Care Ocean State Prevention Supervisor

How our harm reduction vending machines work

Participants receive a unique card or pin number. Once the card is swiped or after the pin number is inputted, clients can receive products from the machine such as syringes, overdose reversal medications, pregnancy tests, safe sex kits, hygiene kits, first-aid kits, and sharps containers. All items in the vending machine are free.

The vending machines are convenient and discrete; participants can obtain their supplies without having to speak to anyone, and each machine can also be equipped with a sharps container for syringe returns.

Agencies can now use SAMHSA grants to deploy vending machines for harm reduction supplies.
